Very enjoyable, I found it very valuable, Aventuro Ireland checked in on me regularly.

How has this experience enhanced you personally?

It has really helped with my German in school, and has taken a lot of pressure off studying it!

We learnt about the different cultures and it was a new experience to have someone else living with us for a little while.

Do you feel you have improved linguistically? If so, how?

I think I have, my vocabulary has broadened and I can speak much more fluently, holding conversations easily and I can understand most things now.

How did you rate the matching of the families? Why?

I feel the family was well matched as we both have younger siblings and busy outgoing lives. But I feel we are a lot sportier as a family and this was new for Johanna.

Being fully immersed in a different culture and language and just going about everyday life in a different country.

Tell us about your fondest memory or best experience while on the exchange.

Going to see Berlin with Johanna and her family for a weekend, we got to see so many monuments and cool things.
